Also, consider ending your emails and messages with a tagline after your name. Something that sets you apart from others.
Your tagline might be something as simple as,
adding the word Cheers! before your name.
or perhaps something like,
Joe Jones
Need help? Count on me.
or
Phil Basten
The Ad Man
My way of signing off is,
Go get um
I spelled UM wrong intentionally, and I will tell you why I did that in a moment.

JAM Inc.
JAM Inc. is an abbreviation of the site I am promoting, JAM Marketing Inc.
So why did I spell the word um and not 'em?
I wrote it as, um, because when the internet was young, and Phil and I came on the scene, some people loved what we were doing and wanted to imitate us. The way they did that was to sign my name to an email that I never sent.
It drove me crazy because most times, they were promoting a piece of junk that I would never promote, so,
I came up with the idea of getting people used to seeing my signature with the misspelled um in it.
In other words, think of something you want to be known for and incorporate it into your signature line.
Make it the same each time you mail, so people get used to your signature and know it is you.>
